Cooking

G helped me make brownies the other day. He loves to help with everything, but I really want him to love cooking so I encourage his help - even when it means a much bigger mess!

Temple

We took G to the temple and let him go up and touch it. Priceless.

Pumpkins

The husband did some amazing gardening this year!

Halloween

It is so fun to have a child old enough to dress up and get it. Here is our little race-car driver!

And here is grandpa holding K - our four-month old race-car driver!

With friends and cousins!

Heard at my house...

"Bye poop... Buh-bye poop... Bye...Bye...Bye poop..."

Said as two-year-old puts dirty diaper on the step in the garage and closes the door.

2.years.old.

Two years ago, G entered the scene in our household.
He was five weeks early, spent a few weeks in the hospital, and then tried our patience, nerves, and limited parenting skills as we figured out his food allergies. Today, he is an allergy-free, funloving toddler that I can't imagine life without.

New Addition

It is amazing how the addition of a new little member of your family can change everything in your life!
Kenton James is already 3 and a half weeks old and growing quickly. His big brother is adjusting little by little, but hopefully they will one day be best friends!

Cars, part 1

Did you ever think that cars could make the world go 'round? Well, in the mind of this little guy, cars are the only thing that exist. He doesn't go anywhere without at least two of them on hand. If you haven't discovered Chevron's line of toy cars yet, stop by a Chevron and check them out. They are a favorite around here and are the perfect size for a toddler's hand size and grasping ability. Be warned, however, that they do not fit on the Fisher Price car garages which can lead to some serious frustration for a one-year-old.

Easter

The joys of Easter must definitely include an Easter egg hunt. G participated in two this year and didn't quite get the hang of it. Once he had picked up as many as he could hold - 3 - he wouldn't put them in the bag to get more because he just didn't want to let them go. Clearly, he is risk adverse and wants to keep his hands on his loot!

Belated post - Concerts FINALLY over

So this is actually a picture from my first DMA recital, but I have been too busy to download my pictures. Will do that soon. My recording is done and has passed so now I can think about how nice it was to be in NYC! It was so fun to be back and to see everyone at school and especially my old roommate, A. She is the best! My lil bro, J, came up for my concert too. It was so great to have him there! I also got to visit my NYC neighbor, M. I wish we still lived close!
Hopefully now I can post some more on here about hte happenings around here...

Its a boy!

Well number two is headed our way and we are adding another little boy to the house. G will have someone to play with now, and I don't have to repaint the nursery. He'll show his face in June. Can't wait!
