Milk Duds, how I love thee...

So, I happen to love Milk Duds. Yesterday, I purchased a box of them when I was out and about . Today, while getting ready for church, I should have noticed Grant was being a little bit too quiet.

This was one time I would have liked to have called Molly Maid!

Dissertation in, but I am exhausted!

So, I mailed it off yesterday. The first complete version of my dissertation is on its way to my advisor. I am so glad it is in and with much thanks to the husband. Not only did he translate all the German resources for me (such as the one to the right), but he scanned in all my pictures, and created my table of contents, visited the Library of Congress, and stayed up to midnight several times with me. He is a computer genius, seriously. And, he has way more patience than me! Well, now I practice, practice, practice until I get it back for the next draft.

What else can be thrown down there??

This is the latest entertainment at my house. Grant loves to throw everything down the stairs. He has turned the bottom of the stairs into his own personal playpin. It started with a ball, then a cup, then frosting. Most recently, he threw my shoes down there. Do you think he is testing gravity?

I have a gripe.

I constantly receive mailings to purchase heaters and air conditioners from a company that I actually purchased both from last year. We are talking about at least two mailers a month. Not to mention that their form of advertising is rather obnoxious. I called the company to ask if I could be taken off the mailing list. I was told to go online to another company's website that they outsource their advertising to. I did this, only to learn that I have to PAY to have my name removed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???! Bring on the mail. I think I will just start putting "return to sender" on each letter I get from them.

Wo to be me- So unskilled!

SO, in my limited time that I try to escape from my dissertation (which is due next week, by the way), I am trying to do something with this blog and the growing pains are really painful. I must be very technologically challenged because I can't even get my picture to be the right size or get it to post the right way. Oh how does everyone make their blogs look so great???!

Dissertation and concerts before all else

So, right now is a pretty busy time in my life as I try to finish my doctorate in music and raise a one-year-old. The next few months will be pretty crazy with disssertation deadlines and concerts to give. Preparation for these trumps blogging I am afraid. So, you may not hear much from me and there probably won't be anything colorful as pretty about this blog until this is over. So, come January, watch out world!
